Brexit: UK address for service to be required for UK IP rights

The UK IPO have confirmed that from 1 January 2021, any new trade mark, design or patent applications or oppositions filed will require a UK address for service. This is subject to the parliamentary timetable allowing the change to be implemented.

For the UK IP profession this is a very positive and welcome development.
